The Naturist Education Foundation is one of the leading naturist organizations in North America.
The Naturist Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity organization.
NEF’s mission is to make naturism an accepted part of society. Programs or projects established by NEF aim to increase understanding and acceptance of naturism, financially support local naturist groups through grants projects that demonstrate a need and an ability to benefit the causes of naturism and body acceptance, provide knowledgeable speakers about the benefits of naturism and its positive impact on society, funding and publishing opinion polls establishing evidence of widespread support, support high school and college students through scholarships, and build one of the largest collections of research, education and legal materials on naturism and nudity-related issues.
The NEF board operates independently from the Naturist Action Committee, however as many of the activities overlap both organizations often work together. Currently, the same board members serve on both the NAC and NEF boards. Each board member is elected for three year terms, which are staggered so that 1/3 of the board positions are open each year.
Each board member has a commitment to ensure the mission and vision of the organizations can be achieved.
Anyone wishing to be considered for a seat on the NEF board should submit their request and documentation at this time.
Candidacy Requirements:
To be considered for election to the NEF board, a candidate must meet the following requirements.
- Be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada.
- Not be an officer or board member of another national or large regional nudist organization.
- Be willing to attend the annual meetings of the NAC and NEF boards each year of his/her term.
- Submit a completed application for the board (available here).
- Successfully pass a background and reference check.
